Introduction
This page provides directions for registering at Luana Kai.
Registration
Luana Kai Association of Apartment Owner requires guests to register at the front desk. They ask that you register within twelve hours of arrival. However, the front desk opens mid-morning and closes between 2 PM and 3 PM so meeting that 12 hour requirement may be difficult. If you arrive too late to make it to the front desk, please strive to get there during the morning of the next day.
At the front desk, they will register your car and give you a parking tag for a one-time-per-stay cost of $5. Your "welcome e-mail" should have the pool code (a four digit number) but you can get it from the front desk, too. (If the front desk is closed, you can call or text one of us for the pool cool - we usually have the current code although they've told us that they may change it at any time if the need arises). Finally, the front desk folks may ask you if you have read the Luana Kai House Rules.
Registration and chatty comments
- We should already have an e-mail address and phone number for you (we ask for that ahead of your stay). If you want to provide use with additional contact information (for others in your group or an emergency contact [which should probably not be one folks in your group]), we would be happy to have it. Fortunately, we have - to date - never had to use an emergency contact.
- Parking is not assigned at Luana Kai. You can park in any unmarked stall but please take only one slot.
- Feel free to contact either of the owners. Since we are more than likely off-island, issues needing immediate attention might best be directed to our "On-Island Agent" Dave. However, we are very interested in suggestions you have for improving your experience now or on your next visit.
- We generally ask that you depart by 10 AM on the last day because there may be new guests arriving that afternoon and we need some time to clean the unit. If you have an evening flight, please ask us if you would like to stay later on your departure day. If new guests aren't arriving that day then we'll be happy to accommodate you (pun intended) - but we would like to know that's happening so we can schedule cleaning to occur after you depart.
- The house rules referenced above are in the notebook you'll find on the coffee table and on-line here. You are really interested in all of the rules for Luana Kai, or you are having difficulty sleeping, you are free to read the long form of the house rules. Nothing should be much of a surprise - be respectful to others and their things, be safe.
